Verdict
Loop is a great app — free, open source, ad-free, account-free, and privacy-respecting. If you're on Android only, want your data to stay on your device, and don't need cloud or social at all, definitely stay. But if you want iOS, cross-device use, iOS widgets, or accountability with friends, Daychain covers those. Competitor details checked October 2026; apps change, so verify in the store.
