Many people tidy their homes, reconnect with family and think about what they want for the coming year around Diwali. That sense of renewal is a natural moment to begin something small and repeatable: ten quiet minutes, a short walk after dinner, a daily call to a relative or ten pages of a book.
The Diwali fresh-start chain is a personal habit tracker, nothing more. Daychain gives no religious guidance and has no view on how, or whether, you celebrate; the festival is observed in different ways by Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and many others, and you decide what is meaningful to you. The app only lets you mark whether you did your chosen habit that day.
Diwali falls on a different date each year and can differ by a day between regions, so this page does not state an exact date. Current dates appear in the status box on this page and in the app whenever they can be confirmed.

Miss a day?
If a day slips by, no need to worry. Your weekly skip credit protects that day automatically, and if the chain still breaks, a repair credit lets you carry on. A broken day is never shamed in red.
